Build a Post-Fulfillment Survey Request SMS in Postscript

Before enabling Postscript to manage the post-fulfillment surveys, it's very important that you create an automation to send the surveys in your Postscript account.

Creating your Post Fulfillment Survey request automation

Follow the basic automation/flow set up instructions found here. From the trigger dropdown, choose the initial_review event:

Here's an example text you could send. Whatever verbiage you choose, make sure you include {rateUrl}, which is the survey link field:

Hi {firstName}, thanks for shopping with {companyName}. Please rate your experience here: {rateUrl}

Rather than copying and pasting the exact message above into the message box of your new automation, please use Postscript’s variable picker to insert the exact property syntax inside the Postscript message editor.

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

  • Do not enable Postscript-managed post-fulfillment surveys until the Postscript SMS flow is ready.

  • Do not expect a rating property; rating is represented by the event name.

  • Postscript events are matched using the customer email.

  • Remember: if another app is currently managing post-fulfillment surveys, Postscript will not send follow-up survey texts.
